About North Beach

Once called North Shore Open Space Park, this stretch of North Beach was rebuilt in 2023 for $15.8 million: dunes, nearly 200 new trees, picnic pavilions, fitness stations and an accessible playground. It feels more like a neighbourhood park than a resort beach, and it's noticeably quieter than South Beach.

Between 80th and 81st Streets is North Beach Bark Beach, the city's afternoon dog beach on Fridays to Sundays.
